Lithuanian Glaucoma Society is a voluntary public organization uniting ophthalmologists interested in glaucoma science and care. Established in April 25, 2000 Lithuanian Glaucoma Society became member of the European Glaucoma Society and joined the Association of International Glaucoma Societies with the main goals unite, communicate, meet, create personal contacts, support, inform, guide, educate, investigate, aim for quality.
The main objectives of Lithuanian Glaucoma Society are to enhance communication and promote exchange of knowledge among glaucoma specialists and general ophthalmologists; put efforts to preserve visual function for patients with glaucoma; maintain relationship with glaucoma patient organizations and glaucoma industries; support glaucoma specialists through education and research; maintain high scientific standard.
